Astfel, presa de peste Prut scrie că Patriarhul Daniel a adresat un îndemn la imunizare, spunând că „începând cu 23 mai, sperăm şi noi să putem trimite din nou grupuri de pelerini, desigur, de preferinţă pelerinii vaccinaţi, care să reia vizitele, pelerinajele în Locurile Sfinte”. Şi s-a văzut bucuria credincioşilor prezenţi, printre care şi părintele arhimandrit Teofil Anăsătosoaie, ca reprezentant al Patriarhiei Române. Patriarhul a apreciat că acesta „este un pas spre o posibilă redeschidere a pelerinajelor”. O procesiune de primire a Sfintei Lumini pe Colina Bucuriei de către Patriarhul Daniel a avut loc sâmbătă la Catedrala Patriarhală. Este al 12-lea an consecutiv în care Sfânta Lumină este adusă în România, tradiţia fiind instituită de Patriarhul Daniel în anul 2009.

Cum aducem noi daruri asemenea magilor? Înaltul ierarh ortodox a arătat că tămâia "înseamnă rugăciunile noastre zilnice". „Smirna înseamnă dobândirea iubirii smerite, a bunătăţii. Decizia a fost luată de către Mitropolia Chișinăului și a Întregii Moldove, supusă Patriarhiei ruse la 8 decembrie, curent. Este dorința mea, dar și a enoriașilor care au cerut ca biserica „Sfinții Trei Ierarhi” să treacă în subordinea Mitropoliei Basarabiei. Mai târziu enoriașii au venit cu propunerea că ar fi bine ca această parohie să treacă în subordinea Mitropoliei Basarabiei. „În mai bine de 25 de ani la Comrat și în zona Găgăuză nu a fost deschisă nici o grădiniță de copii și nici o școală cu predare în limba găgăuză. Asta ne vorbește despre faptul că această autonomie a fost concepută doar în interesele rusești și făcută de structurile rusești în detrimentul populației autonomiei găgăuze și în detrimentul interesului Republicii Moldova. La întrebarea moderatorului cum ar putea unirea cu România să soluționeze problemele actuale ale țării, domnul Secăreanu a menționat: „Unirea cu România, a fost programul meu electoral din totdeauna. „Stimați cahuleni, orașul Cahul a fost singura localitate, singurul oraș care a făcut parte din România în cadrul micii uniri de la 1859. Știu cum se face o lege, cum să o promovez, știu cum să iau cuvântul în parlament pentru ca să apăr interesele cahulenilor” a punctat Ștefan Secăreanu.
